Wisconsin men and women both nationally ranked

College Swimming released team rankings on Tuesday
MADISON, Wis. – College Swimming released updated national team rankings on Tuesday, which had both the Wisconsin men's and women's swimming teams ranked within the top 15 in the country.
The Wisconsin men's team was ranked No. 11 in the nation with 741.21 points, while the Wisconsin women's team checked in at No. 15 in the country with 741.28 points.
Both the Wisconsin men and women opened their season at home last Friday and each earned wins over Minnesota. The men defeated the Gophers with a 159-141 final team score, marking the second straight year the Badgers have defeated the Border Battle rival. The women also knocked off the defending Big Ten champions with a final team score of 152-148.
Under head coach Whitney Hite, both the Wisconsin men's and women's teams spent the entire 2014-15 season ranked within the top 25 of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Coaches Poll.
Wisconsin returns to the pool on Nov. 13 with a dual meet at Indiana, followed by another road dual meet against Northwestern on Nov. 14.
