
Lester brings home gold from 2012 Oceania Swimming Championships

MADISON, Wis. -- Junior Badger swimmer Daniel Lester claimed three gold medals and three silver medals at the 2012 Oceania Swimming Championships, which were held in Noumea, New Caledonia on May 29 - June 1.
Lester took gold in the 100-meter fly, and was a member of both the winning 400 medley relay and 400 free relay teams. He placed second in the 50 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM.
The Oceania Swimming Championships are currently held every two years and are comprised of representatives from countries in the South Pacific. The Oceania Swimming Championships are the second highest competition for the Australia National Swimming Team, second to the Olympic Summer Games.
