MADISON, Wis. -- As the Holiday season nears, Badger fans can help children in need this Friday by bringing new, unwrapped toys to the Kohl Center for the men’s hockey game against Minnesota Duluth.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in conjunction with the UW Athletic Department, is partnering with “Toys for Tots” in a campaign to gather gifts to be distributed to needy children in the community.
UW Student-athletes will be at the entrances of the Kohl Center this Friday, Dec. 9 prior to the men’s hockey game collecting the toys and cash donations. Game time is 7 p.m.
All fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game. All donations go directly to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive.
Since 1947, Toys for Tots has collected over 81 million toys for children across the country. The toys will be distributed in the greater Madison area.
