
NCAA rowing selections today at 4 p.m. CT

The University of Wisconsin women's rowing program awaits word this afternoon on a possible bid to the 2009 NCAA Rowing Championships. This year's event takes place on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J., from May 29-31.
The announcement will air live at code=ncaa"> --> ncaa.com . Free registration is required to view the selection show.
Should the Badgers make the 16-team field, it will mark the program's fifth bid in six years and its sixth since the NCAA began sponsoring women's rowing in 1997. Wisconsin reached its first championships in 1999.
