Wisconsin fans interested in finding out if the UW women's openweight crew gets selected for the 12-team NCAA field can watch directly at NCAA.com. The selection show will run at 3 p.m. CT.
The Badgers are hoping for a team bid to the 2008 NCAA Rowing Championships, which take place May 28-June 1 in Sacramento, Calif. Wisconsin finished second at the 2008 Big Ten Championships on May 3 and fourth at the 2008 NCAA Central/South Regional completed this past weekend. In addition to the 12 teams selected, four at-large varsity eights will be chosen to compete.
Wisconsin has been to four NCAA rowing championships since the organization began hosting a championship in 1997, including 1999, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
