Rowers Host Big Ten Championship Today

Wisconsin plays host to the eighth Big Ten Women's Rowing Championship at Lake Wingra in Madison, Wis. The annual regatta returned to Madison for the first time since the inaugural races were held in Madison in 2000.

The University of Minnesota wins the 2007 Big Ten Championship with a total team score of 150 points, a new meet record. Minnesota boats placed first in the I novice eight, II varsity four, I varsity four and II varsity eight. Wisconsin finished the meet in fifth place with three second-place boats (II novice eight, I novice eight and II varsity four).
