Wisconsin Rowing Winter Training: Day 8
January 17, 2007 | Women's Rowing
Wisconsin's women's rowing programs are in Cocoa Beach, Fla., getting some much needed water time during the semester break. Various members of the team will be sending daily updates for fans to follow along with the progress of the squad. With the spring season just around the corner, the openweights and lightweights are putting in their time now so they will be at their best when racing season begins in March.
Today's seventh entry, on Jan. 17, was submitted by sophomore lightweight coxswain Heidi Hunsberger.

It was definitely nice to have some downtime to enjoy the hot weather and the company of each other.
Last night we had a team dinner (with both Varsity and Novice) at an Italian restaurant where everyone refueled on great pasta and even better desserts. Sleeping in was also a welcome event, and the team will feel well rested for this afternoons practice and the rest of our time in Cocoa Beach. It's hard to believe we only have four more practices! Time to enjoy the warm weather before heading back to Madison'
