Women's Rowing Finishes Second in Indianapolis

The University of Wisconsin women's openweight rowing team defeated Louisville but lost to California on Eagle Creek in Indianapolis on Saturday.
In the varsity eight, second-ranked California won the 2000-meter race in six minutes, 23.62 seconds. The 15th-ranked Badgers finished second in 6:27.17 while Louisville was third in 6:31.02.
In the second varsity eight, Wisconsin won in 6:34.90 while the Golden Bears were second in 6:35.69. Louisville finished a distant third in 6:44.79.
