Openweights Wrap Up Fall Season
November 07, 2004 | Women's Rowing
The Wisconsin openweight crew ended their fall season Sunday Nov.7 at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J. They had a fair day for rowing, with a slight head wind, making for a long day of racing.
In the open eights event, Wisconsin took sixth, seventh and eighth, with the openweight boats in sixth and seventh. Wisconsin boats also took 12th and 17th in the open fours event, while facing some very tough competition.
'It was a good day overall,' said head coach Bebe Bryans. 'It was a great way to end the season, and we are now ready to train this winter and prepare for the spring.'
The crew team will be on winter break, and returns to the water on Saturday, Mar. 26 in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
