- 2011 inductee into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame
- 2016 inductee into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame as part of 1996 U.S. World Cup of Hockey Team
- Selected to play in five NHL All -Star games and played in four (missed one game due to injury)
- Tied for the NHL record with six assists in a game
- Captained Team USA at 1992 IIHF World Championships
- Represented Team USA at two World Championships, two Canada Cups, the World Cup of Hockey and the World Junior Championships
- Two-time Olympian (1998, 2002), winning silver in 2002
