
Badgers ink three in-state standouts on National Signing Day
Women’s basketball adds Sheplee, Janowski, and Nordin to 2026 class

MADISON, Wis.- Wisconsin women’s basketball head coach Robin Pingeton announced the signing of three in-state standouts on Wednesday, marking her first signing class as the leader of the Badgers program.

Adaline Sheplee | 6-3 | Guard/Forward | Rice Lake, Wis. | Rice Lake High School

Adaline Sheplee joins the Badgers as the No. 1-ranked player in Wisconsin’s Class of 2026 by BTN Scouting and No. 42 nationally by ESPN - the highest-ranked commit for Wisconsin since LaTonya Sims, who was No. 5 in the country in 1997.
At Rice Lake High School, Sheplee set the school’s single-game scoring record (43 points) and surpassed 1,000 career points as a junior. She earned Big Rivers Conference Player of the Year, First-Team All-State (2024), and Honorable Mention All-State (2023) honors under head coach Darla Olson.
A member of North Tartan (EYBL), Sheplee ranked among the top five scorers on the circuit in 2024. She’s also a state champion in the high jump and helped lead her high school to a team state title in track and field.
Off the court, Sheplee is an Academic All-State student and member of National Honor Society.

Leah Nordin | 6-1 | Forward | Shawano, Wis. | Shawano Community High School

Leah Nordin joins the Badgers as one of Wisconsin’s most productive and decorated players. The 6-foot-1 forward is already the all-time leading scorer at Shawano Community High School with 1,694 career points entering her senior season.
Nordin is a three-time unanimous First-Team All-Conference selection, Bay Conference Player of the Year (2025), and two-time WBCA Division II All-State honoree under head coach Ryan Koenig.
Competing with Wisconsin Blaze (Coach Lisa Van Wyk), she has earned multiple national honors including 3x Elite40 NE2K All-Tournament Team and 4x Hardwood Hustle Power Player recognition.
In the classroom, Nordin is a multi-year Academic All-Conference student and NFHS nominee.

Giselle Janowski | 5-9 | Guard | Pewaukee, Wis. | Pewaukee High School

Giselle Janowski brings championship experience to the Badgers. A two-time WBCA First-Team All-State selection and 1,000-point scorer, Janowski led Pewaukee to a state championship (2024) and state runner-up finish (2023) under head coach Jim Reuter.
Janowski was a three-year team captain, two-time First-Team All-Conference honoree, and AP Honorable Mention All-State selection.
On the club circuit, she helped lead the Wisconsin Lakers to a USA Basketball Club Championship runner-up finish (2024) and GUAA runner-up (2025).
Academically, Janowski is an AP Scholar with Honor and a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, and Spanish Honor Society.
